Portuguese Language World Day celebration at UNESCO – 2022

The Member States of UNESCO making the Community of Portuguese Language Countries – CPLP- celebrated, on May 05, 2022, the World Day of the Portuguese Language at UNESCO.

During the ceremony, the Permanent Delegation of Mozambique paid tribute to the Mozambican poet, José Craveirinha on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

The Mozambican afro+-fusion singer Assa Matusse opened the festivities with an exclusive duet with the City of São Paulo String Quartet.

This ceremony was organized by the Permanent Delegation of Angola to UNESCO, as coordinator of CPLP countries at UNESCO, and was presented by the Mozambican Mistress of Ceremonies, Vitha O DA SILVA.
